Occupational Therapist

Feeding Specialis

Myofunctional Therapist

Deena is a dedicated occupational therapist who loves helping kids overcome challenges and reach their full potential. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge, and earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Always eager to grow, Deena continuously seeks out new learning to better support the children and families she serves.

Her passion for pediatric care is deeply personal. As a mom of two, Deena has experienced firsthand the impact of developmental and feeding challenges. Her journey began with her first child, a son born prematurely, who needed extra support with gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and feeding. Deena applied her clinical training at home, gaining real-life insights that extended far beyond what she learned in school. When her second child was born with feeding issues and a mouth full of tethered oral tissues, she was ready—combining her professional knowledge with a mother’s determination to tackle feeding difficulties head-on.

Deena’s commitment to holistic care grew even stronger after navigating her own health struggles. Diagnosed with Sleep Apnea at 28 following years of orthodontic work and open-mouth breathing, she wasn’t satisfied with just using a CPAP machine. Her search for long-term solutions led her to myofunctional therapy—a path that not only improved her own health but also became a cornerstone of her feeding therapy practice, as she began to recognize the powerful link between feeding challenges and airway issues.

Through these personal and professional experiences, Deena discovered just how powerful a whole-body, individualized approach can be. Today, she brings that perspective to every family she works with. Her unique blend of expertise, empathy, and lived experience allows her to connect deeply with the children she serves—offering care that’s not only effective, but truly compassionate.
